Ink is an exhibition featuring the finest examples of contemporary Chinese Ink Art at the Saatchi Gallery. The exhibition, curated by Michael Goedhuis, is the first comprehensive display of this genre, and draws together major examples from distinguished collections around the world.

In my first 30 years when learning calligraphy, I practiced and imitated, without limits or self, above 300 models and 15 - dynasty styles of calligraphy, and created 80 thousand pieces of the artworks.
In 2006 my year of heavenly Dunhuang, focused absorbing its ancient pure and nobel characteristics into my creation; in 2007 new understanding Youjuns’ naivety; in 2008 holding Jiandu spirit of the nature; in 2009 acquiring Cursive script’s freedom and pleasure from crazy Zhang and drunk Su; in 2010 enjoying and combining the simple of Oracle bone script with Ink wash painting and Cursive script. Since then I gradually came back to my own style from the ancient models.
When ascending the origin of calligraphy and creating new style, I firstly proposed “Chinese Calligraphy Tao”－ illuminating the calligraphers’ ideas and understanding of Tao; the technique is below, the content is basic and Tao is above.
